Falling

I saw an angel
from high in the sky
She was bound to this Earth
I didn't know why.
I jumped from high knowing
the choice I had made,
but as I was falling,
her image did fade.
No one to catch me
I thought she'd be there.
As the ground got closer
she was nowhere.
She had left
as quick as she came.
Now my life
will never be the same.
I am now bound
by the love that was lost.
but just knowing she was there
was well worth the cost.
